We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to placing solid temperament Saint Bernards into a loving home and giving them that much deserved second chance. We take great pride in placing non-aggressive dogs that have been thoroughly temperament tested. People and other animals are our first and foremost concern when placing these dogs.

The Humane Society of McCormick County is a private, non-profit, no-kill organization formed in September 2000. We are staffed entirely by volunteers who raise every cent of our operating capital ourselves. Our rural county is a very poor county in South Carolina. Statistically 54% of the county's population is at the federal income poverty level or below.

We do not stop at just that - we take animals out of these facilities and find foster homes or great rescues in the north where they have a chance at a new start!

Animal Protection Society of Person County, APSofPC, is an IRS recognized non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We are a group of volunteers that open our hearts and homes to the homeless, neglected, abused animals.
We also rescue animals from the shelter that are in danger of being euthanized. We take great pride in our adoption program. All of our animals rescued are placed in to foster care where they receive love, nourishment, and medical care
